Grace Church

White House and

GreenBrier communities

Of Middle Tennessee

A gathering of people who have received mercy, grace, and new life through the grace of God in Jesus Christ.

The church gathers for encouragement, accountability, community, teaching, and corporate worship of the triune God (Father, Son, and Spirit). The church scatters to testify to the goodness and grace of God in Christ in our homes, schools, workplaces, and communities.  We believe that the ONE God who exists as Father, Son, and Spirit must be the center and focus of our worship. Sovereign Grace Church is not interested in creating worship experiences for a crowd, but instead, teaching people to know, love, and serve the LORD God Almighty.

Sovereign Grace Church is a a Southern Baptist Church in Middle Tennessee proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are committed to both the Great Commission and the Great Commandment.

The Church Gathered

Sundays @ 9:00 a.m.

Sundays @ 5:30 p.m.

The gathering of the church is a time for believers to come together for mutual encouragement through singing biblically-based songs, learning and confessing biblical truths, and worshiping the God of the Bible (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit). We worship ONE God who exists in THREE Persons and we confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

The church is the new community founded and led by the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the head of the church. God created us to live and function in meaningful relationships with others. We believe that the gatherings of the church are one of the primary ways in which Christians develop healthy and biblical relationships.

The church scattered

Community Groups

The health of a church is measured not by how many we gather but by how many we send out to proclaim the name of Jesus. We are committed to gathering in homes, throughout the community to encourage and equip each other to know, love, and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. Furthermore, we believe that every Christian should be on mission in this community. Thus, we make it a priority to share the good news of Jesus in our schools, businesses, and civic gatherings. We scatter to invite others to gather and worship Jesus Christ.

Our Theology

The Big Three

The Big Three are non-negotiable beliefs that serve as the bedrock of our theology. For a more in-depth look at our confessional statement, see the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.

The Person of God

We believe that God is eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing, all-present, and absolutely holy and perfect. We confess that there is only One true and living God who exists in Three persons. We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who was born of the virgin, lived a perfect life, performed verifiable miracles, died as our substitute, bodily rose from the grave, appeared to more than 500 witnesses, ascended into heaven, sits at the right hand of the Father, sent the Holy Spirit to call and comfort us, is currently interceding for us, and is returning to judge the living and the dead.

The Word of god

We believe that the 66 books of the Old and New Testament are the Word of God. We confess that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible revelation of God. We testify that the Bible is authoritative and the foundation of our beliefs. We believe that the Bible is the foundation and guide for every area of our lives. We boldly proclaim that the Bible is sufficient and stands alone as the special revelation of God.

We gather to hear the expositional teaching of the Bible. We scatter to teach the Bible to our families, neighbors, and communities.

The Work of God

We believe that all of humanity is in a state of rebellion against the Creator and is separated from Him by their sin. Every person stands in need of redemption. We confess that the work of God is the salvation of the rebellious and sinful by His amazing grace. We testify that this grace only comes through faith in Jesus Christ, which must be accompanied by repentance. We lovingly and confidentially proclaim that faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ is the only way a person can be saved from his rebellious and sinful condition.
